Uche Sparks Comfortable Palace Victory at Irish Side Shelbourne.
Even though entering their first-ever European adventure, Oliver Glasner's side are learning at a rapid pace. Without star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable result that all but secures them a place in the Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure straight passage to the knockout stages, especially following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Opportunity
This occasion offered a chance for some of Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second game in match.

The contest was as good as over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, capping an otherwise positive evening for the visiting side.
