Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

However, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
